Can you feel the shift? Beyond the sounds of fear and despair, if we would listen to God’s voice, He is declaring this a kairos moment. He is resetting the Church because He wants to pour out His glory. Will you join us as we pray for healing, pray for peace, pray for the outpouring of God’s glory – in the days leading up to Passover?

Today’s devotional comes from Overseer of the Pathway and Events Director Annie Gomez.

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.” – 1 John 14:18

These last few days have been filled with uncertainty but the reality is that everyday is filled with uncertainty. The only difference in this season is that we’re being told to “Stay Home, Stay Safe” and the uncomfortable part of all of it is that our flesh doesn’t like being told what to do. This is a moment to reflect and invite God into what it is that we’re really struggling with in the “Stay Home”, what is it all for? Well, if we know the nature of God it’s for our own good. Ask Him to speak into those words, to bring revelation and how He will mirror those words in His nature. I bet it would look a little like; I Am home, abide in Me / I Am safe abide in my Word, it’s true.

This scripture has been the echo I hear daily “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment.” Do we know that our God is wholly and completely for us? He sent Jesus to reconcile us to Him; that’s how much He is for us! Nothing He does is to torment us, He doesn’t withhold one good thing from us, not His love, not shelter, not provision, and especially not His mercy. He only has perfect love for each one of us. He is home, He is safe.

This scripture brought me to a song from David Crowder called “Only You” . These lyrics give way to the Holy Spirit giving permission to do what needs to take place:

“Take my fret, take my fear

All I have, I’m leaving here

Be all my hopes, be all my dreams

Be all my delights, be my everything”

I want to encourage us with this; He is perfect love and we are invited to rest there, rest in safety, rest in love, rest in His shadow. Psalm 23 tells us that even when we walk in the shadow of death He is with us. Fear is death to our spirit it has the ability to cripple if we allow it to manifest in us but when we rise up and use our God given authority it shuts down all of the lies and any power fear tries to take and that includes loneliness and depression it has no place of power in the sons and daughters of the Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth! Fear must abdicate to the blood of Jesus. Take our fret and fear Jesus, take all we have and be our hope.

Would you pray with me?

We want to thank You. You’re our perfect love, forgive us when we veer off of the path of home and safety, help us to sit willingly still in the pause. We give you our thoughts, opinion and will in exchange for Your glory, we invite You, Holy Spirit to have Your way in us, to mold us, sustain us and be glorified through us. God, Your perfect love casts out fear and today we turn our back on fear and expose the lie that it is! Fear will bow to the name “Jesus!” We walk in full certainty that You are on Your throne and only You determine what becomes of our lives.

Today we choose to serve only the Lord God and no other, we walk in the freedom and mindset of abundance, You sustain and lavish us in all that we require AND more!

To You, O Lord, be the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen
