What is a priest?  Priest (noun): “One authorized to carry out the Christian ministry.”

In January of 2020 Coronavirus Disease 2019, also known as COVID-19, invaded the United States. Our country was jolted from anything resembling familiarity. Though weeks have passed and this new “reality” has begun to settle in, the shock and disbelief lingers. Yet, the One who was never shocked and remains undaunted is the One who has a plan for good in the midst of the enemy’s plan for death, chaos and division.

The time has come. The time is now. The church is moving. A reset has been initiated.

1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

Do you know who you are? The better question is… Do you know who you belong to?

You belong to the God who named every star in the sky. You belong to the God who parted an entire ocean to save his people from the hand of Pharaoh. You belong to the God who needed you so much so that he sent his one and only son to be sacrificed so that the sins we battle everyday would forever be rectified and covered. You belong to the same God who made an everlasting covenant of love and relationship with you.

God the father is good. He is peace, warmth and comfort. He is also fierce, just and powerful. He is not a God of fear, confusion and chaos. Do you really believe that a harmful and ruinous pandemic was His idea? No. I will tell you this- Our God will use this moment in history to activate his priesthood and propel a revival in His church.

“God is stopping the earth because he loves us so much.” -Pastor Craig Lawrence

He knew COVID-19 would come. He knew the opportunity would arise. He is the alpha and the omega. He always was, always is and always will be good and victorious. Will you trust Him? Will you rise up? Will you take the leap of faith? Church, will you answer the call?

Livestream has many pros as it does cons, yet there are two points torn from the same cloth that are worth acknowledging. Livestream has empowered the church to come together like the world has never seen before just as it has empowered the church to sit back and hide behind a screen as a prime opportunity for a revival and a reset passes by.

Dear church- A commitment is happening in this reset, and that is to turn this world upside down and continuously encourage you, train you, uplift you and remind you that you are a priest. You are a son and daughter of the victorious God. God doesn’t want you to be a number in the crowd or a number in the sum of views on a livestream. He doesn’t want you to be a bystander. He doesn’t want you to sit this one out. This is the revival. This is the change. This is the movement. This is the reset.
