Newlife Pomona Food Bank
is one of the largest food banks in Los Angeles County.
Californians face some of the highest grocery prices in the nation. That weight is especially felt by low-income and often food insecure families. But donations from our generous partners and community enable us to alleviate that burden.
Every week we distribute nearly 40,000 pounds of groceries & essential items to hundreds of families all across Southern California.

In January 2025, we broke ground on our permanent facility–
a monumental step forward that will further expand our capacity to serve our community.

Public Food Bank Hours
Fridays | 11am – 3pm
Closed on 2/7, 3/7 (usually first Friday of the month & holidays)
Thursdays | 4:30pm–5:30pm
Closed on 2/6, 3/6

Drive-thru & Walk Up
Food Bank is drive-thru or walk up only. We’re constantly monitoring our safety procedures to help keep you safe.
*Due to difficulties, the Food Bank will be closed when it rains
*Other closures will be announced on Newlife’s social media.

Food Donations can be dropped off from 10am - 2pm (Food Donations must be non-perishable and sealed. Cannot exceed 90 days past expiration.)

Volunteer Requirements:
Minimum age: 12, Must not have any health concerns with back, knees, prolonged standing and bending. Must wear closed-toe shoes. Traffic vests are provided.
Currently there are two volunteer shifts
(please specify which shift you’re interested in)
Shift 1: 9am-1pm
Shift 2: 12pm-3:30pm
